What Labs Do You Run?

The five foundational labs I start with for adults include:

1. Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones Plus (DUTCH Plus):

Analyzes sex and adrenal hormones through dried urine and saliva samples. Includes organic acid testing for nutritional deficiencies, oxidative stress, gut dysbiosis, melatonin, and neuroinflammation. Evaluates cortisol awakening response (CAR) and overall cortisol patterns.

2. Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus (GI-MAP):

A stool test using qPCR technology to assess gut health. Measures bacteria populations and intestinal health markers. Detects overgrowth of parasites, H. pylori, fungi, yeast, and opportunistic bacteria.

3. Comprehensive Wellness Panel

Hemoglobin A1c, Uric Acid, Phosphorus, Magnesium Serum, LDH, GGT, Iron & TIBC, Ferritin, CRP hs, Homocysteine, Thyroid Profile II, Free T3, Reverse T3, Free T4, TPO Ab, Thyroglobulin Ab, Vitamin D 25-Hydroxy, Fibrinogen Activity, CMP 14, Lipid Panel w/ Total Cholesterol, HNK1 CD57 Profile, CBC, Urinalysis Complete

The CWP is a blood draw and urine sample that includes the typical blood labs like Complete Blood Count, Complete Metabolic Panel, and Lipid Panel from a PCP plus a complete thyroid panel (not just TSH), Iron Panel, and Vitamin D. Looking at these markers through functional, or optimal ranges, allows us to detect dysfunction in the early stages so we can course correct through diet and lifestyle changes.

Can I Use My Bloodwork from My PCP?

Yes, blood chemistry reports from your Primary Care Provider can offer valuable insights into dysfunction. We can also interpret those same markers from a functional lens to gather information about your health status and identify suboptimal markers before it gets to the point of dysfunction.

Do You Take Health Insurance?

No, I do not work through insurance. However, I do accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flex Spending Account (FSA) cards, as well as credit card, cash, or check.

Do I Work with Kids?

Yes! The GI-MAP, MRT food sensitivity test, and Metabolic Wellness Profile are a great combination for kids who haven’t gone through puberty (so hormones aren’t tested). Instead, we focus on gut health, digestion, detoxification, and immune system support.

What’s the Best Way to See If Functional Labs Are Right for Me?

The extensive adult program isn’t for everyone. It is for those ready to take their health and performance to the next level and willing to make diet and lifestyle changes with the proper support. Schedule a call with me to determine whether this program is the right fit for you.
